Uganda is Safe to Visit
Uganda continues to welcome visitors from around the world, and tourism activities across the country are operating normally. While health authorities recently confirmed a limited Ebola outbreak, the situation has been closely monitored and managed by the Government of Uganda, the Ministry of Health, and international health partners.
The affected cases have been isolated, and extensive public health measures have been implemented to prevent further spread. Uganda has successfully managed similar outbreaks in the past and is internationally recognized for its rapid response and disease surveillance systems.
Tourist Destinations Remain Unaffected
Uganda’s major tourism destinations, including:
- Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
- Mgahinga Gorilla National Park
- Queen Elizabeth National Park
- Murchison Falls National Park
- Kibale National Park
- Lake Mburo National Park
- Kidepo Valley National Park
remain open, safe, and fully operational for visitors.
Gorilla trekking, chimpanzee tracking, wildlife safaris, cultural experiences, and other tourism activities continue as scheduled.
Enhanced Health and Safety Measures
The Government of Uganda has strengthened health screening and monitoring procedures at airports, border points, and healthcare facilities. Tourism establishments, lodges, and tour operators continue to follow recommended health and safety protocols to ensure the well-being of guests and staff.
Visitors are encouraged to maintain normal travel hygiene practices, including regular handwashing and following any health guidance provided during their travels.
